What to Wear and Warming Up

Wear old clothes, a track suit or a gi (one of the white martial arts suits if you have access to one). Don’t wear you favourite t-shirt - it may get damaged. We train bare foot.
We will ask you to remove and anything with a sharp edge (e.g. belts, jewellery). If jewellery/piercings can't be removed we'll tape over it with a plaster.
We start every training session with some warm-up exercises. The secret here is to do as much as you are comfortable with. Don’t strain yourself or exhaust yourself completely. We follow this with some breakfalling exercises which you will not be allowed to take part in - you must be taught how to breakfall first.
